How to fit a Bra
To ensure your bra is a good fit visually check the following:
-
Underwire is clear of breast tissue
-
Straps are adjusted to fit the body
-
Bra is a firm fit around the body (this is the bra size). If bra is too loose and rides up back it will not support.
-
Bust fits the cup (this is the cup size). If bust is falling out of cup, the cup size is too small. If bust is not filling cup it is too big.
Remember, a smaller bra size will also be smaller in the cup (ie. a 12C is smaller around the back AND CUP than a 14C).
So if you need to reduce the back size of your bra, but the cup is a good fit, you will beed to try a smaller back size but go up in the cup (ie. go from a 14C to a 12D). This also works in reverse - if the back size is too tight but the cup is a good fit, you will need to try a larger back size but go down in the cup (ie. Go from 14C to 16B).
